We got an "eight minute lesson" at the Waltz Weekend, but I'd like to learn more. When/where is the Redowa ever taught?

Richard and Joan Walton separately have taught redowa a few times in 2004-2005 at FNW in Palo Alto. -

Fri, June 24, 2005 - 10:32 PMYeah, Joan sneaked it into the Mazurka lesson at the Dance Sampler...you could also try and get some nice person to take you aside and show you how to do a non-turning redowas step, which is pretty do-able with a bit of practice and gets you halfway there... -

She tells me she usually teaches in response to class interests, so I'm sure that whe would be amenable to teaching Redowa during her Intermediate class on Tuesday nights in Oakland. Contact her through her website:

Thu, June 30, 2005 - 5:01 PMYup, I learned it from her--she usually has her lessons semi-planned, though, and what she teaches also depends a bit on who shows up. So I wouldn't go to just one classs expecting to get Redowa-on-demand...it's more like if you show up and ask for it, she'll put it on her to-do list for a future lesson. -
