Next Friday Night Waltz this Friday April 20

Richard Powers with Angela Amarillas teach intermediate waltz classes at 7pm and 8pm in the large upstairs room.

7pm a Friday Night Waltz premier: 1950s Rock'n'Roll Waltz and Cha Cha. Direct from American Bandstand, fifty years later: the way fifties teens did the waltz and cha cha, both very different from the way their parents danced it - - fifties teen cha cha ("Chalypso") was closer to swing. And both are still good to know today. You'll love it. For All levels. no prerequirements.

8pm New Cross-step Waltz variations. Add some new variations to your repertoire. Prerequisite: knowing basic cross-step waltz or being a fast learner.

Tom Hill teaches an introductory waltz class from 7 to 9 pm in the downstairs room. To get the most from this class, try to start at 7pm. Excellent first time class.

Richard is tonight's Dj. Waltz and polka music from 9pm to midnight.

Special performance by Decadance, an innovative and exciting dance group founded by former Stanford dancers. From their website, "Collectively, our dance experience includes competitive ballroom dancing, ballet, modern, hip-hop and more, and our other performance experiences range from martial arts to musical theater to synchronized swimming."
